Question:

Twist and lock part in pen?

If you have ever taken apart a pen you have to click to use, and have taken one apart maybe you can help me. I want to know what the part near the cap is called. The part that slopes up and then suddenly falls the the center and the slopes up. I have no idea what its called, but i need a version of one for a prop

Answer:

You and most likely find what your looking for there.
Since you say the entire outside of the lock is gone (not just the cylinder), you may as well replace the entire lock. If you unscrew the latch from the inside of the door, the pin may come out with that part. If not, try pressing in on the bolt - to see if it will relieve some tension. If not, I''m afraid you may need a locksmith. Replacement may involve breaking that pin to remove it to allow removal of the bolt. Once the old bolt is out, you can replace the entire lock mechanism.
