Question:

Vibrating cycling trainer?

I live in an apartment and yes, it's already snowing here. Salt on the roads, 25 degrees. So, I invested in a Blackburn trackstand trainer. Awesome, quiet, easy to use but it vibrates a little bit. I do have an elder woman living under me that i do not want to drive nuts. Any recommendations on how to keep the vibration down to a minimum for the rides at night? Thank you in advance

Answer:

Is this a factory or aftermarket alarm? If it`s a factory alarm , you can usually take your ownership to the dealer and get a replacement. If it`s aftermarket and you know the make , track them down for a replacement. If you gave us the make /model/yr of the car someone may be able to help you disarm it.
The furnace uses a fan limit switch (also known as a sequencer) so whats happened here is when you turn it to heat it uses a different part of the relay which would be for heat and that part has failed. You can try this turn the blower fan from auto to ON. Leave the blower on and call for heat. Your blower will run all the time till you can get this repaired. But the electric heat will still cycle on and off via your thermostat set point. Just the blower will run. There is no guarantee this will work but its worth a shot
To get rid of the smoke you have to adjust air vent to give the right mixture of air and gas - produces flame in light blue color. There vent (behind the knob) should be adjustable or check if the vent is blocked somewhere. If you are not handy get a gas plumber. Don't play with fire.
