Question:

vinyl flooring?

can i install over the top of existing vinyl flooring

Answer:

yes, only make sure the first one is attached well. If it is peeling up you have to rip the floor up.
You can but you need to be carefull make sure the old vinyl floor is secured down tightly other wise the new floor may come up. But I would strongly recommend ripping up the old floor and putting the new floor directly on the subfloor. I also recommend putting down a new subfloor if the old one looks bad.
Two floors is the limit according to my installer. So be certain that there is only one vinyl floor below the new one you are installing. Not only do you have to be certain that the one beneath is well adhered, but you should etch off the no-wax shine for the mastic to glue the new floor with sticks.
