Question:

Virtual machine wireless?

Recently I installed Ubuntu on to my box as the only OS.I switched from windows. Then I installed VMware Player, so I could still run games and programs that were not compatible.Everything works, but when I go to connect to my wireless on the virtual machine it tells me that it can connect to my wireless card, but not at the same time as the host computer. How do I connect it to the player, or disconnect my wireless card from Ubuntu?Terminal command? thanks in advance ^_^

Answer:

You really need to consult your VMware documentationYou'll generally need to configure an ethernet bridge - this will appear to each machine as if it was a wired ethernet connection (rather than wireless)The guest OS uses that to send packets to the parent OS which then sends it on to where it needs to go (via the wireless card) - in general you _can't_ have two different operating systems using the same physical device simultaneously.
Sorry but what I'm I looking at?
