How come every time I wash a fleece blanket and I get it out of the dryer and it is covered in like fuzz fleece balls? Is there anyway to prevent it?
Try looking up energy star, I think they recommend cellulose as the best and efficient.
Fiberglass doesn't break down or settle the way cellulose fiber insulation doesIt is lighter weight and maintains its' insulating valueI recommend Johns-Manville because of its' formaldehyde free formula, no or less itch.
Chris is correct, just ignore wreckThe Cocoon will settle but if you look online and read the instructions, you can compensate for itJust make sure you have your fluff rate (lbm per sqft in tech terms) correctThis will affect the settling rateIf you do the Cocoon blown in, make life easier and buy the depth strips to staple on you raftersThey come in 10 packs for a $1 or 2 and simply staple to the rafters to indicate the depth of the blown insulationIf you install these before you start, you can easily add the number of inches of insulation you want.
Acrylic fibers abrade easilyNot only is the dryer a problem, but also wear and tearEvery have an acrylic sweater and rub your arms across it often (Like up big boob women have to do).pills along the arms and side of sweaterLOL, so true about dog hair too! Wash gentle cycle and hang to dry.and get that clothes shaver.
Do some leg work! Go and asked!
