Question:

We just turned the heat on for the first time and the smoke alarms keep going off. Should I be worried?

We are in a rental home which had central heat and air installed this past summer. This is the first time we have turned on the heat and the smoke alarms keep going off. Is this something to worry about or is this normal? (I know it sounds like a really stupid question, but I grew up in the Tropics, so I don't know how the heating works!)

Answer:

Usually everyone finds out about fire drills and they know what period at my school. It doesn't freak me out, but right when the annoying bell comes on it freaks me out since it's so loud. The only other drill that REALLY freaks me out are earthquake drills. Over the summer during summer school we had a real earthquake drill and it freaked me out so bad. Took me 30 minutes to calm down.
Stock Control System involves making an inventory, or list, of stock, and noting its location and value. It's often an annual exercise - a kind of audit to work out the value of the stock as part of the accounting process.
