Question:

We need to run a pipe from the pressure control valve of a hot water heater out of the house?

it's a small 10 gal hot water heater under the wet bar in the daylight basement of a house we're in the process of buying. The seller won't fix it and we're wondering round about how much this would cost us to fix. Any suggestions?

Answer:

Chances are the flue is blocked and carbon monoxide is backing up into your home. This is very dangerous and should be checked by a professional.
They will know. They will take an interest in whether or not their elevator is ?ucking on.
Mothers tend to worry far too much, and it can be quite difficult to calm their fears. I would suggest you walk with purpose and look like you know what you are doing and where you are going, even if you're lost. This way it'll be harder for weird old men or suspicious characters to try to offer help and strike up a conversation. Make sure to look at signs wherever you are so you don't see a sign that confuses you and makes you feel as though you aren't in the right place. If you do get lost, don't stand around trying to figure out where to go for too long. Go to someone who works in the airport and ask for directions. Don't be afraid of looking stupid; it is their job to help out lost travelers. Never EVER EVER leave any of your things unattended, even in broad daylight, even in public. Things go missing all the time at airports and you don't want to be missing personal items in a foreign country. Keep your passport, money, identification, etc. in a pouch hanging around your neck, tucked INSIDE of your shirt. It is very easy for pickpockets to grab things like that or for you to lose them out of a pocket. When taking transit, make absolutely positive that you are getting on the right bus/shuttle. Finding out that you are on the wrong transport is awful and nerve wracking. Once again, if you aren't sure, ask someone. That's about all the advice I have used and can think of! To summarize: Look like you know where you're going even if you don't, make sure to always examine signs, ask for directions if unsure of where to go, never leave items unattended, tuck important paperwork inside your clothing, take the correct transit, and most of all, try not to get stressed! If you get nervous or stressed, close your eyes for a couple seconds and take some deep breaths. You'll be fine! Call your mom as soon as you can to let her know you're alright. She just wants to keep you safe:) Good luck!
