This happened to me the other night and after gathering my son and jetting out of the house I realized I didn't see/smell any smoke..so..i put him in his carseat, walked back to see what was going on and nothing was wrong . It kept happening and i looked at the manual and it was the battery dying! Change the battery and see if it stops.

I would go to a station and ask to talk to the captain. I am sure he would be more then happy to answer any questions you may have. He may let you help wash fire trucks or teach you to roll hoses. When you are old enough you could become a volunteer firefighter . I have been a firefighter daughter all my life a firefighters wife and now a international firefighters mother. It is a very rewarding occupation.
