We recently had an issue with our well water that has stumped 3 different plumbers. Recently, the water stopped in all faucets in our house. I turned a valve on that's just past where the water main comes into the house (to check if we were getting water in the house) and water was flowing in fine. But, I noticed black chunks coming out into the bucket. After dumping the water, the chunks were black pieces of rubber-like sheeting. It had blocked the valve coming off our water main and was found in little pieces in all faucet filters in the house.Several plumbers said that our old galvanied pressure tank definitely DID NOT have a bladder, so it could not be from that. They confirmed that the actual well pipe was PVC and the piping into the house from the well was copper. No one since has been able to tell us what this material is, but there was a good amount of it in our lineenough to stop our water. Can anyone solve this one?
