what alternatives is there to auto air conditioning, that i can plug a system into my cigarette lighter?
A bucket of ice and a wet towel.
If your air conditoner is bad then plugging up a fan into your cigarette lighter slot isnt going to do anything but just blow hot air into your face if its extremely hot It might help a little if its just a warm temp
A fan. Have one in my 2007 Saturn Ion 2.2 Plugs right into the cigarette lighter/accesorie plug in. Works great for those days that it is just a little too warm to not have the a/c going but too cool to roll the windows down.
There are some mini air con devices that will plug in and provide some cool air, but nothing that will provide cooling as good as a proper air con, the typical cooling power required for car air con runs off the engine and a cig lighter won't give that power, it will also be too big and need an external radiator to be effective. Not worth the money.
