Question:

What am I doing wrong with these connectors?

Here is what I am trying to doI have a Nintendo that uses RCA (red, yellow, white) cables to hook into the back of the TV. I am also, simultaneously, trying to connect it to a video camera. The video camera has RCA inputs. I went out and bought an RCA cable with piggyback functions. I have the Nintendo going in to the new cable, and the cable going in to the video camera. This allows me to see video and hear music through the camera. I then use another RCA cable to piggyback from the cables in the camera to the TV. I get nothing on the TV. I've tried everything. I need to get a signal on the TV and the video camera simultaneously. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Answer:

You need to go from the game machine, if you have connector on the back of the machine, get a Y connector, with two wires, one to the camera and one to the TV Going from the machine to the camera will not work. two sources from the machine are needed. Would have been easier to go from machine to DVD recorder to TV. Once DVD finalized, insert DVD in computer, explore, convert VTS_01_1, VTS_2. to something your editing software can use.
