[Mike], it's scary that you say you're an Optometrist but you have no (*$ing idea what you're on about. Now [proud], the words that are important here are IRREGULAR astigmatism. Glasses can only treat basic sphere power, and REGULAR astigmatism. if you have irregular astigmatism, and if it's mild - then 1. Glasses won't correct it totally, that's why you're getting shadows/double vision. 2. A soft-contact lense (with the same Rx) may be able to correct it a little better because the tears in your eyes may be able to get between the back of the contact lens and the front of your cornea to NEUTRALISE your irregular astigmatism. But usually, the soft lens may just mold to your cornea and replicate that irreg. astigmatism anyhow. However, if your irregular astigmatism is higher (perhaps ask your eye doctor about your risk of developing Keratoconus), then only HARD Contact lenses will be able to treat your vision, because the hard lenses will float on your tears, not mold to your cornea, and it's the tears that will neutralise your keratoconus.
I liked Mariah in the movie Glitter. I like Mariah cause she's like the girl next door with the same issues or concerns for what she believes. I was devastated when she got divorced. She handled it better than I did with my divorce. Mariah always looks happy when she sings compare to Toni. Toni seems like she's taking one frame at a time when singing in her video. The last video I remember of Mariah is when the little girl was standing by the pay phone and she touched her face with such like a mother would to their child. She shows a lot of compassion. I know Toni shows to much body parts so I see her in a different way. As for Mariah she may show some body parts but it's within taste plus she don't look like a slut. Mariah's older songs is what I admire the most. Those songs brought me out of my troubling times. She inspired me once again when she got married so did I and when she got divorced ironically I did, too. Her movie Glitter was similiar to my life when she lost the man she loved. I just like Mariah. My sisters don't like her squealing voice. I would love to see her do a duet CD with some older timers and young musicians maybe a gospel CD. I mean deep down singing the gospel none of this CeCe Winian songs but the old days of gospel. Unless she did and I haven't seen any in the stores.
