Over the winter one of my pipes froze and cracked; first time in ten years. It's a snakebite about 1/2 inch. The trouble is that the pipe runs along a joist so I don't want to solder near wood. The second problem is that I am no good at soldering! :)1. Is there a way to replace the pipe without having to solder? 2. Is there an easy way to add a T and a tap so that I can drain the pipe before the winter?I saw a product called Snake bite that lets you not solder but they don't have a tap just a T. Is there some way to join PVC or flexible hose? Or some screw on option?
There's no reason why you should get rid of it. I have baby blankets that were my mom's. Keep it as a memory of your childhood.
The valve is not at the top but rather down at the water pipe underground. So the nut on the top to turn on/off the water is the same as the valve on some outside water taps for houses in that it is long and controls open and closed from a distance so the freezing problem is reduced. Some that were used recently may suffer from freezing as water may still be in the hydrants upper area. So you have the nut to open and close the valve at the top of the hydrant but the valve is down a few feet below ground so as to stop the freezing problem. The water pipes supply the houses/businesses so water is almost always flowing in the pipes.
it is been desperate by employing extensive finding out, that the quantity of Am encapsulated in those ordinary smoke detectors isn't attainable to the commonplace public. What radiation the Am emits is carefully absorbed by employing the unit and rendered possibility unfastened. Am is an alpha emitter.
