I just found a band recently that was doom metal that I thought was pretty cool. this is the only doom metal band I know thats good. there called Swallow the Sun. anyone know of any other good doom metal bands.

Machine Head, Lamb of God, Devildriver, Throwdown (heavy metal version of baby got back rules), Chimiera (not sure if spelled right)
Linkin Park, especially Hybrid Theory
KoRn: The founders of Nu-metal, probably the best nu-metal band Recommended songs: Freak on a Leash, Falling Away From Me, Blind Slipknot: Were fairly similar to KoRn in the lyrics and meaning aspect, leaning more towards metal. Second best to KoRn, if not better than them. Recommended songs: Wait and Bleed, Left Behind, Before I Forget, Psychosocial Linkin Park: Mainly people consider Linkin Park to be a great Nu-Metal band (I personally don't like them but they do deserve a mention) I recommend the Hybrid Theory album. Those three bands are probably best Nu-Metal bands in my opinion. Some other bands that are also good include: Mushroomhead Mudvayne Disturbed P.O.D. Dope Rammstein (old) Papa Roach
