Two possibilities the wiper arms are loose , tight the nuts or the mechanism inside came loose , so the motor turns but no the bars, look trough the little grill , just below the windshield, there is a bar that runs from the motor to the other wiper arm , if you hear the motor running but the bars are not they came out of the motor bracket , so remove that grill and connect the bar back in place , just push it back in to the ball pin , if it comes back out again , the bushing must be replace
