Question:

What are the best tires for motorcycles?

I have a GSXR 750 and the tires are getting pretty worn. I was wondering in opinion or in fact, who carries the best tires for a sport bike/crotch rocket? Michellin? Firestone? Anything? These tires are the only thing touvhing the ground when im riding, so i want the best i can get.

Answer:

Best Street Motorcycle Tires
The axle set is bolted to the frame under the trailer, so if the bolts aren't too badly rusted, you can just unbolt them. If they are, you'll need a cutting torch. Cheapest way I can think the raise lower it is with a tripod a chain hoist. Might be able to rent the chain hoist.
I don't know how to get rid of them. When I was a little girl there was a ghost in my mom's apartment. I would wake up in the middle of the night and all my clothes would be swinging back and forth in the closet I would scream for my mom and when she would get to my door they would stop. Other really strange things happened and I don't remember this, but as my mom tells the story she got really mad one day and opened all the doors and started screaming at the ghost to leave us alone and go away. I know it sounds really crazy, but it worked. Nothing ever happened to us after that. Maybe that would work I'm not sure people might think your nuts if they were to witness it. Anyway that's my ghost story. Good luck!
I have been buying Continental Road Attacks for my street bikes. They wear a long time and they have enough grip to grind the foot pegs on my Cyclone. That's enough grip for me, and they tend to last 10,000 miles or more which is 3 times longer than the sport rubber that most people don't need for street riding. If you are really aggressive or do track days, then Sport Attacks are the better tire, but most people realistically have no use for the extra grip. I currently have a set of Dunlop Qualifiers on my GSXR. I thought they would be worth a try, but I'm not impressed and I'm going back to Contis after they get used up.
All of the major brands are good.Dunlop,Metzeler,Michellin and Avon all make very good tires. It depends on your riding needs. The sticker the tire the softer the compound.Touring tires have harder compounds to wear longer. Then even have tires with a harder compound center strip and softer stickier sidewalls.JP cycles has a good tire selection that you can look at to help you decide. It's smart of you to want the best as opposed to the cheapest.Like you say those two little contact patches are all there is between you and the road.
