What are the common plastics?
Polyethylene terephthalate two (PET): common in mineral water bottles, carbonated beverage bottles. PET heat-resistant to 70 degrees, only suitable for warm drinks or frozen drinks, high temperature liquid or heating, it is easy to deformation, it should not be placed in the car for a long time, preferably at room temperature, a one-time use.
Polypropylene (PP): common in microwave oven boxes, bottles, ordinary lunch boxes. The lunch boxes made of polypropylene can be put into the microwave oven and reused after careful cleaning. But some microwave oven boxes are made of polypropylene, but the box cover is made of other kinds of plastics, so it can not be put into the microwave oven with the box.
Low density polyethylene (PE-LD or LDPE): common in cling film, plastic film. Low density polyethylene heat resistance is not strong, do not pack in the food surface into the microwave oven, usually in the temperature of more than 110 degrees when there will be hot melt phenomenon, will leave some of the body can not be broken down the plastic preparations.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC): common in building materials. It is rarely used in food packaging, which is prone to harmful substances at high temperatures and is released even during manufacture.
High density polyethylene (PE-HD or HDPE): commonly used in cleaning products, shower products and supermarkets, shopping malls, commonly used plastic bags. These containers are usually poorly cleaned and easily left behind the original cleaning supplies and become a hotbed of bacteria. Food which is labeled "food" can be put into food, and it is better not to recycle it.
