For most of the items listed, substitutes for oil can found. There is just little incentive when oil is relatively cheap. But even if that wasn't the case, oil can produced either from bacteria or from thermal depolymerization. Anyway, the point is that we need to create as much of a self sustaining economy as possible. The more we depend of limited resources for energy and other needs, the more trouble we will be in when we run short of those materials.
Blacks and greys are neutral colors. Black often times symbolizes death, nighttime or darkness, but most often in dress it will symbolize elegance and class, mostly worn on more formal occasions. so it shows you have style. Grey, a combination of black and white, often symbolizes middle ground or neutrality this in turn can make us think of safety or indecision. This however does not always reflect in dress. Most often grey, is used to accent another color. Grey by itself would make a person seem expressionless and would be rather boring. The color brown, a shade of orange, is most often associated with the feeling of stability. It is subtle and gives a much less energetic feeling than orange does. By wearing brown you will in all likeliness give you an air of constancy. But if you have a impulsive personality it will just compliment your looks. Blues tend to slow the heartbeat and breathing and can even lower blood pressure. Blue objects tend to recede from the eye and seem smaller then they actually are. They can also make us think of physical cold of remind us of things like water, sea or sky. It also has many other associations such as height, heaven, spiritually, truth, innocence, thinking, depth, and calmness. So by wearing blue you will probably create a calm look or feeling and depending on the shade convey the thought of coldness (as in temperature). Hope that helps some. :)
