Runo out and find a car that runs on cooking oil!, I just run hot water down the drain then pour the grease down the drain, to much and the oil will harden in the pipes, it could cause trouble.

I keep mine in an open can in the refrigeratorWhen I mix up food for the wild birds, the grease is one componentAdd birdseed, flour or oatmeal, cornmeal, and peanut butter, in roughly equal amountsYou may have to adjust the amount of grease as the temperature rises and fallsExcess gets disposed of with the regular garbageI'm sure that there are other great uses for cooking grease but I have not lived long enough in the South to learn them.
