They are a metal band, just an increasingly worse and worse one Yes, they did make Thrash riffs. This is heard on Scream Aim Fire and Waking The Demon among some other songs. (To correct the guy who said they didn't) But why is BFMV getting worse and worse? 1st 2 albums were good, 3rd ok, 1st 2 songs released from the upcoming 4th album are absolutely dissapointing....... what's going on with them really? Wtf?
They have not made thrash metal riffs, I can tell you that much. But at the end of the day, they are not metal, but they are metalcore. Screaming and distorted guitars does not automatically equate to metal anyway.
Probably because they are really puffy emo twats. Like the other person who answered said you want metal listen to Pantera. Grow a set of plums and listen to something badass!
Some people don't consider them to be hard enough to be considered metal. Also, I think their fan base mostly consists of teens which is why other metal heads don't want to accept them as a metal band. I personally think they are though.
Metal fans call bands who they dislike or are mainstream not metal, even when they clearly are. And they definitely are hard enough to be metal; if Iron Maiden is heavy enough to be metal, then over 3/4 of bands a lot of metalheads say aren't metal are definitely metal.
