I'm not really an expert on this but I think it depends on what kind of roofing sheets. Are they metal, fiberglass, rubber, clay? Metal should only need to be packed tightly so it does not move around. Same with rubber. With clay tiles you will likely want to have some kind of separator (cardboard paper) between them as I expect they would be more prone to breakage
Without getting a clear picture of what you are trying to accomplish the only answer I have is get some quick couplers like the gas trucks use.Snap the hose on and push down on a leaver on each side to lock it on.Does that help?
