My advice, Get a Giant Anthem X Advanced SL 0. The name explains how great it is (Anthem).
Try Trek Fuel, Specialized Epic
Hey mate, 2001 ey, how does that go? :p Seriously though, I've been riding for 3 years now, DH for 2 and racing for 2, so I know what i'm going on about ;) I'm currently riding a 08 Norco A-line, but am about to upgrade to a more race-ish DH frame is you get what I mean? Anyway, I would highly recommend an A-line, a Demo or Glory. My A-line eats up everything I throw at it having 9 of travel at the rear, but it's still super agile. I've done everything from race on it, to hit up 20ft step-downs, 30ft gaps and 10ft step-ups, to muck around and ride some trails n stuff, it loves it all. They're a great bike, for someone who's starting out or someone who's more experienced. I would recommend a Norco Team DH, but they're more of a race bike and if you're going to do alot of FR, it might not be right for you. Secondly, Demos are extremely versatile, the old ones are heavy but the new ones are good as, have a very nice suspension system and if set-up properly, are fast as bikes that can still handle some FR. Thirdly, Glorys. Yeah everybody has them, but they're a reason for that, because they're a quality bike. They don't jump or pedal the best, but are tank as will last for ages if you're constantly riding bike parks. I would recommend heaps more, but they're the ones I think are best for you given the description you've given
