Question:

what can bent the axle?

I have 205#92;60 r16 on my optima. Stock tires are 205#92;55 r16. 3.2% bigger than Original Diameter. Any chance it can bent the axle?

Answer:

If you bent your axle then you hit something REALLY hard If you have a bent axle then you have other bent suspension parts like lower control arm strut tie rods. Kinda hard to bend just an axle.
seriously what would make the tire height bend your axle.your answer is NO!!!!!!!! i have 215/40/16 on may car and the stock size is 195/75/14 there is no diff just better handling
Tires can't bend the axle. You have no axle really, just 4 independent small axles. The 205/60 tires have more tire underneath than the 205/55 tires. The '60' means there's 60% of the width (205mm) as a sidewall, from the ground to the rim instead of just 55%. 60% of 205mm123mm ---more tire under the car 50% of 205mm102mm
