Im looking to get the hp gains of a full exhaust but i want to spend around $400-$500 for all the parts and installation. Is this possible and what is the best way to go about it?
What kind of car? What do you mean by a FULL exhaust system?? Do you mean dual exhaust? $500.00 will do on some cars but some could cost $2000. like a Borla on a Corvette
If you cut out your cat and stick in a freeflowing exhaust, you might might might get a little bit of a noticeable horsepower gain. Exhaust is not the first place to start to increase your horsepower. Look towards a cold air intake, KN filter, you can have your timing advanced a little bit if you want to use higher octane fuel, upgraded cams, etc.
