Answer:

stay away from vegetable shortening and use canola oildont eat animal fat eitherbut it also helps to eat oatmeal sometimes.dont eat things that have partially hydrogenated oil in them.
Eat almonds, take omega fish oil pills Exercising will raise your good cholesterol not necessarily lower your bad cholesterol.
There is a train of thought that cholesterol has little to do with fat intake and lots to do with sugar intakeCut your sugar intakeI wouldn't personally use slimfast because it is full of sugarIf they have a sugar free variety then it's okBut I think it is just flavored sugar water with a few vitamins thrown in to make it look healthy.
My husband has high cholesterolWhen he was first diagnosed, they put him on a very restrictive dietHe followed it to the letter for 6 months, and there was no change, so he had to start taking medication The medication helpedBut after about a year, it started damaging his liverIt got to the point where his doctor had to take him off the medicationHe was having some unrelated digestive problems, and started taking Metamucil (not sure of the spelling - but it's that stuff you mix in water and drink, to get extra fiber) Within a month or so, his cholesterol levels were almost normal ! So I would recommend trying thatExtra fiber benefits just about everyoneI tried using Slim Fast, but had to give it up after 2 weeks when it started making me sickBut if I remember correctly, it's high in fiber, so while I wouldn't say it would help your chollevels, it probably can't hurtBy the way, my husband is very tall and thin, and eats a reasonably healthy dietHigh cholesterol isn't always related to being overweight or poor dietI think for some, it's just genetic.
Heavy Duty Aluminum foil (In the extra long package) might work if what you are cooking isn't very heavy and doesn't have a lot of juice, i.e., something like a pizza or a small piece of meatYou would just have to be careful when removing it from the oven and support it from the bottom or slide the foil and your food off onto a dishOtherwise, if you're not careful, when you try to pick it up, the food might slide off the foil or any hot liquid could splash out, which might cause you to get burned Some pots and pans are oven proof As long as your cookware is all stainless and doesn't have those cheap black handles, you should be able to use it in the ovenCorning Ware dishes can also be used in the oven.
