You chances are so incredibly slim for that..... - Maple is an expensive finish wood and would never be used in pallats - those are made of cheap wood.... the only thing I can think of now is new construction jobs have scraps - and well.... its a long shot but you might be able to score something..but your chances of that are slim too. Sorry i cant help more, man.
I agree you will be very lucky to find a skid made out of maple. I'm not saying they don't make them but they are not abundant. They make skids out of whatever wood is available to them but I have yet to find a maple one. I have found several walnut ones if you are willing to change the type of wood you would like to use. If not my second suggestion would be to look up any cabinet shops around your area. They will give you all the cutoffs you want and they will most likely have the wood you are looking for.
