I thinking of dont know which colour of curtain will suit my "fresh purple" wall bedroom. Any suggestion?
You may have an old-rose or rosewood or baby pink curtain or drapery. Its nice also in off-white or cream. Better match the curtain color with your bedsheets/comforter and pillows.
i vote cream. my daughter in law used gold in one room. she also has a couch that is purple and olive green. odd but it does look good. take a sample of the paint with you shopping and just match it up. Marshalls or tj maxx, ross some store like that have the most beautiful unusual curtains. you never know what you will find. have fun, good luck
My bedroom is purple, chocolate and cream - they all go well together. I have a big painting of a tuscan lavendar fields over the bed. My curtains are a kind of see through sort of material in a lovely chocolate brown with cream flecks. If you want it lighter go with the above answerers idea of translucent white or cream - really crisp and fresh - do like the French Country style - with miniature roses but do it all in white and the purple and minty green - buy a magazine on French style Country living to get the ideas - add a pretty chandelier - so pretty.
I like dylan t's suggestion. A curtain with a beautiful pattern would be a good choice, especially if is has a similar purple in the pattern that would pick up against your walls. I have a room I painted with an art deco style. I painted the walls in purple and blue pastels. The curtains contain the same colors plus pink, and a little black but they have a bold art deco rainbow motif and all the colors really pop. If you've used a pastel purple, use curtains with a pastel or medium colors in the same family. If you've used a deep rich purple (like royal), then gold or black, or even a deeper purple might be lovely. Don't be afraid to experiment with green, blue, or pink as complimentary colors. Combining red with purple always makes me think of those tacky Red Hat ladies (ick). Good luck!
To give that bohemian royalty effect, pick curtains which are heavily draped with intricate details. But u said fresh purple so i suspect u like dainty... i'd say something white, shades of yellow, orange and red, purple... plus gold! Goodluck.. p.s. im an archtect so i work with those everyday! :)
