No. Don't plug Windows to the Internet to be sure.
Contact cement and rubber cement are not the same. Rubber cement is designed to be movable so that a photograph could be mounted in a certain place in an album and moved later on. Contact cement is a permanent adhesive and therefore coadhesive. Once it has been applied to a surface and that surface has been glued to something else, it will be stuck permanently to that single surface and will not be sticky to the touch or adhere to another surface once dried.
I am a Rural Fire Service Firefighter. I don't think that fog could set of a fire alarm. Smoke detectors only detect smoke from a fire. I don't recommend covering up the smoke detector with something though.
