If your BF is a motorhead, a roadside tool set - pliers, cutters, sockets, screwdrivers, mechanic gloves, etc. But get the good ones (sears or snap-on, don't get the dollar store cheapies) If he is more of a looks before mechanicals type of guy, get a gift certificate for local car wash - like a total inside and outside wash and wax per month for a year.
