Question:

What do you think Kurt Cobain would say about music these days?

It seems like once Kurt was murdered, all true artistry went down the drain with him (and MTV sadly). There is no passion in music these days (with the exception of a handful of bands). Nirvana was the last TRUE breath of rock and roll and the final leg in true artistry in music. All we have now is bands that all want to make the next hit album so they can make it big and have too much money. It's not about the music anymore. (and YES KURT WAS MURDERED. If you even cared at all you would check out this website: cobaincase But most of you are all ignorant jerkoffs who are enslaved to believing everything the mainstream media tells you. Shame.)

Answer:

I had the Wayfarer-style frames (the first frames you linked to) with the cheap prescription lenses that were, at the time, about the same strength as your weaker eye (-3.25). The lenses were just a teensy bit thicker than the plastic of the frame. So, you could probably get by with the CR-39 lenses. Personally, I would never pay $50 more for a anti-reflective coating but, every time I suggest suggest that it is a waste of money, somebody gives me a thumbs down (probably the guy who's job it is to put on the coating). Anyway, I think the coating makes the lenses harder to clean, they often look all smudged and sometimes not even the same tint in each lens and sometimes the coating goes bad so the lenses have to be replaced. Note that, if you get the hi-index lens, it will only make it look thinner from the side, the lenses will still look about the same strength when looking head on. (The effect of making your eyes look smaller is not reduced).
What kind of detectors? Most modern detectors don't go off with steam, unless they're defective. What I'd do is buy a cheap microwave, which would open a lot more possibilities beyond just hot water. Oh and unlike electric kettles, hot plates, or hot pots, most fire codes approve a microwave, which is why they're in so many hotel rooms (the most notoriously picky of fire codes.) So you wouldn't need to worry about getting busted by the RA.
the shut off valve is back in side the wall so there is no water in the out side part of it to freeze
