When Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae were taking a selfie outside the ring, Jerry Lawler said, the only good thing about those selfie sticks is that they could be lightning rods.

It definitely sounds like it would be somewhat of a country song, one of the slow ones. Here are my judgements: Unrequited love is a very overused theme, and climbing a mountain is also a very common comparison to challenges (love not excluded). If you still want it to be a song about unrequited love, I suggest using a more original analogy. If not, try to tweak the way you're phrasing it so that it at least sounds more original. So she’d wait by the phone, waiting for his call. And over on the other line, he was too afraid to fall. To be quite honest, it doesn't make sense. I understand what you were trying to say, but too afraid to fall implies that he's too afraid to fail. And if he's too afraid to reveal his affection, what does he have to worry about failing? Failing concealment of his affection? Plus, fall and call is kind of a cheap rhyme. Either change that part or make it more clear what you mean. Or, better yet, make it abstractremember, symbolism is your friend. I also think that you should fill in the story between college and ten years later. How did they come to realize Hey, [s]he has the same feelings for me as I do for her!? Was it something spontaneous or did they just slowly drift toward each other more and more? Did they kiss on the subway in the middle of the night? Just one or two lines with SOME explanation would be adequate instead of just Bill and Barbara [hypothetical names, not actual names] were friends. Ten years later, they ended up married with children. As for the third verse, it seems a bit too idealistic, but I'll let that slide. I have to say, though, if you're still sticking with the mountain analogy, the chorus at the end is perfect and fitting. The rhythm is a tad off, but with a little fixing, it could be a little catchy. I can't say anything about the music since I don't know how it goes. Overall, it's an alright song, but it needs a little tweaking.
