Question:

what does a 32 zone alarm system mean?

I'm trying to install a 32 zone alarm system at home. does this mean that i can use 32 components?

Answer:

hmmm well with resonance, the KGB used two methods: one was the use of lasers to measure the various vibrations of glass to determine the sounds that made it vibrate, and the second was low frquency electromagnetic antennaes to listen to the passive type radio-frequency transmitter, such as the small device in the wooden embassey seal, that the soviets installed in the embassey. the laser use was simple: by measuring the reflection of the vibration on the window, the speach could be determined that produced it. all sound is energy: this energy is capable of causing minute changes in something as flexiable as glass. since a laser is good enough to measure those small shanges as vibrations, the vibrations themselve can serve as the basis for reassembly into the words spoken in the room. the radiofrequency resonater is a little trickier, but still ingenious. once again, sound caused a small portion of the tube to move: this movment was directly converted to a low grade radio frequency signal. large antennaes would pick up the signal, and save it back as a signal for decoding back into speech. since it would transmitt unless sound was actively moving the capsule, it was very hard to locate with a transmitter detector. infrared technolgy usally on works ith heat, but if you measured the heat through a wall or a door, and had the device pointing at someones lips, by changing the heat measured into ranges of cooler and hotter yo can observe movment, and the movement can be converted to the shape of sounds. hope this helps
