Question:

What does the letter on the end of 25x10-12/C mean?

Im trying to find some atv tires and i found some cheaper ones but it says the tire size is 25X10-12/C and some of them have the C replaced with A or B. What does these letters mean I dont want to buy the wrong tires. My Atv just takes regular 25x10-12 tires. If it helps its a 2006 750 Brute Force if that makes a difference. Someone please help me.

Answer:

The letters are similar to the load/speed rating on motorcycle tires. Each letter will suit the weight, horsepower and handling characteristics of the model for which each tire was designed Size Information/OEM Fitment: 25x10-12 1999-2004 Yamaha Kodiak and Big Bear 25x10-12 A 2001-2003 Kawasaki KVF650A/B Prairie 25x10-12 B 2001-2004 Arctic Cat 400/500 4x4 25x11-12 B 1998-2004 Arctic Cat 400i/500i In other words, it really doesn't matter. ATV tires are made for different purposes - sand, mud, hard dirt, snow, quick take offs (hole shots), etc. Choose the style of tire for which the ATV will be used for and the rim size is the most important (12 in your case).
