I am not quite Shure what you mean as to the email lock, are you locked out of the email it's self or the Apple ID or even to reset the phone if so, try to put the phone into dfu mode and then sync it to iTunes, hope this helped
I also love the smell of Gain laundry detergent, however using Gain could be causing your problem. I stopped using Gain after I noticed some of my clothes and towels had a soured smell. I went back to using Tide (original scent). I also use a half cup of Arm Hammer Baking Soda and a few drop of ammonia in each load of wash. The baking soda with help get rid of unpleasant odors and the ammonia helps brighter your laundry. For safety reasons: DO NOT ADD ANY TYPE OF BEACH WHEN USING AMMONIA TO A LOAD OF CLOTHES. I would also recommend filling your washer tub once a week using only hot water with a cup of white vinegar added. The white vinegar will help clean all the built up gunk in your washer. Arm Hammer laundry detergent is also a good brand to use and it is cheaper than most other detergents, if you are on a budget, and their fabric sheets work as well as any of the other name brands.
