If one were to hit someone with a baseball bat, would it cause more pain to use a wooden bat or an aluminum one? Just wondering.
The aluminum will hurt more with the reverberation that travels through the bat. Hence you see the rubber padding on the bat, along with wearing batting gloves. Would also sends some strong vibrations through the hands when the ball is struck in certain positions, however, catch a tough pitch with that aluminum without a batting glove and your hands will be stinging.
While I fortunately have not been hit with either, I would think the wooden bat, with its increased weight, could be swung more forcefully and would hurt more.
They both hurt a lot! Wooden ones are heavier and have more density, while aluminum ones are lighter, but they can swing a lot faster. So really, they both have their things about them that make them very painful. I wouldn't recommend getting smacked with ANY baseball bat - they HURT!!!
I've been chased with an aluminum bat, but haven't ever been hit with either. I would say that the wooden bat would hurt more, because that's solid wood. An aluminum bat is hollow. But then yet, I've red articles where aluminum bats perform better for some kind of scientific reason that I didn't quite understand. So if an aluminum bat performs better on a baseball, it would be safe to assume that perhaps it would hurt more to be hit with an aluminum one. But either way, it's safe to say... I'd rather not be hit with either!
