Need a good chair to read on.
A bean bag works really well I have one and it's great you can find cheap ones at walmart
Gliders tend to be fairley narrow, I would recommended a lazy-boy, one that reclines. If you are into reading, you are also into comfort. A lazy-boy can be carried up by only two people.
I got a wingback from the dumpster and its a very good reading chair. Wing back, upholstered, just make sure its got arms. A recliner is a good reading chair. You might find one at goodwill. I really think upholsted is the way to go!

Recliner: . Personally, the best reading chairs had arms that I could toss a leg or two over (in order to sit sideways) and overstuffed was the way to go because it made the chair more comfy to spend time in.
