A thermal balancer contains a balancing valve and is placed between loops in a boiler. It monitors the flow rate and temperature drop so you can tell the BTU's delivered in each loop. It allows you to adjust differing flow rates from each loop to get the drops and BTU's that you need from the boiler system.
