i have 3 1/2 bags of CAREFRESH bedding (for my Syrian hamster steve) is that o ok bedding for a russian dwarf hamster?
Yep that's a great bedding to use!!!! The only kind of bedding that I like!
I use it for my Russian dwarf hamster!
yes, ive heard that is good bedding for a gerbil or hamster, or any small rodent. i personally dont use it, i have cardboard chunk type stuff. not sure the name. only thing i can suggest NOT to use is any cedar with any animal in an inclosed cage. it is VERY poisonous.
I have had lots of hamsters in the past and have some in the future and know what they like, I got some nice bedding from the pet store and you can ask the shop keeper if you like, but my hamster likes the shredded paper you are able to get from the pet shop as the wood cuttings in the cage are just so they can walk around having nothing at the bottom of the cage is quite bad unless you have a tank When I was running low on bedding I use toilet paper (Make sure its soft) as they are able to carry it around to change where there bedding is my hamster really liked it so I think yours will too Also Care fresh Bedding is great for your hammies ^.^ But At the moment I am using wool bedding that the hamsters seem to really like but you should never use when your hamster is only young as they can get trapped and you shouldn't if a hamster is pregnant and due Thanks
I wouldn't recommended you to use that, because hamsters tend to stuff bedding into their cheeks, and Carefresh bedding can cause choking. I currently use pine bedding and nothing happens to my hamster. Plus, pine is safe for your hamster to hoard into its cheeks. If you want the best for your hamster, use aspen bedding. It's 100% safe, but not the cheapest to buy. If you're on a tight budget, try getting pine bedding. It comes into huge packages that will probably last for months. And it only costs $7! At Wal-mart, that is.
