Basically I what to know at what temperature soldered copper pipe joints will melt and have a leak.
There are some stupid answers on here. It depends on the solder that you are using, but most soft solder that is used in the plumbing industry for soldering copper pipe melts between 400 and 500 degrees F. The one guy is right. As long as ther is water in the pipe yor copper temperature will never get aabove the boiling temperature of water at your elevation. Since that is usually bwtween 20 and 220 degrees F you will never get teh solder to bond t the copper through capilary attraction.
