I need peoples opinions for a class assignment.
for me, performing arts theatre is ... well, it's my life, lol! I love the live performance because there's no room for mistakes - you can't just do-over like with films and tv. It also helps with confidence and speaking skills. Depending on what your part is in theater, you can let out stress, anger, depression.... Anyway, I don't know if that was what you were looking for, but good luck with your assignment :)
performing arts is a huge part of my life and it is very important. it makes me feel so confident up on stage and i have a ton of fun getting to transform into other characters. it lets me be myself along with other people and it gives a lot of great experiences! i have met so many people through acting and performing! and i know that they will be friends for life! it is a great confidence booster, experience maker, way to make friends, have a ton of fun, and just plain straight up be who i wanna be!
To me, it is home. Many people see it as something that's not necessary and stupid. But I've spent my whole life so far (all 16 years haha) performing and I can't get enough of it. As soon as school ends, I rehearse until 8 at night. Then I go home and rehearse alone. I do it like it's my job. When I go out on the stage, with all the lights and the people, I just feel so at home. I know it's kind of dorky to word it that way, but it's the truth! Hope this helps :)
