what is safe temperature for hamsters?

my room is usually about 50 throughout the dayand 73 at nightit gets kinda chilly in my room but i fond a hamster den extension to a cage that everyone says is really warm for themi would also but extra bedding for burrowingand durring the day when im at school, id put a blanket over some of the gagenot all of it thoughso it had some oxygen :)would this be okay?

Answer:

They should have labeled what they will and won't acceptAnd make sure whatever it is doesn't have food stuck to it, that's usually not accepted.
Just room temperature will doI advise against putting a blanket over the cage, because the hamster will probably chew it, and it's not really necessary eitherProvide extra bedding for your hamster when it gets chilly, if you're a bit worriedYour hamster will make itself a comfortable nest, so I wouldn't get too concernedIf your hamster is too cold, you'll know about it because it'll go into a state much like hibernation, but it's unlikelyIt has to be really cold for that, and like I said, room temperature is just fine.
