Question:

What is the best type of satin fabric for a baby blanket?

I have crocheted a baby quilt in squares, and I'd like to put a satiny backing on it, so it will be softerWhat type of fabric would be best? I was thinking of using charmeuse, and I'd like to hear from anybody who has ever done that, or who might have suggestions about what type to use.

Answer:

works like valence KMnO4 MnO2 a change from 7 to 4
Babies love the feel of soft satinUse the lightest polyester charmeuse satin you can find and wash it a couple times before sewing it to the quilt to make it softerDon't use the easy to find crepe backed satin, it's far too heavyFinish the edges with a soft satin binding, and be sure there are no thread knots sticking outMy babies all became quite attached to the soft satin of their blankets, in many cases preferring the satin to what I thought was the softer flannelThey would grip the soft satin while falling asleep, or when they were upset, or when they were just playingUse polyester as it washes and dries wellFibers such as viscose and acetate turn hard and brittle when machine washed and driedSilk is too expensive, can be destroyed by baby barf and other baby by-products, and also won't stand up to washing and drying.
It is the apparent charge an atom pocesses in a molecule of acompoundIt can be regarded as the no of electrons either gained or lost by an atom when it is converted into that compound ex: 1] when Aluminium and oxygen combine to give aluminium oxide the reaction is: 4 Al + 3 O2 2Al2 O3 Here Oxidation no of Al changes from o to +3 in Al2O3 and that of Oxygen changes from 0 to -2 2] 2Na + Cl2 2NaCl Here oxidation noof Na changes from o to +1 and of cl from o -1 working: Oxidation no[Al2O3]0 2[Al] + 3 [O] 0 2[Al] + 3 ( -2)0 2[Al] 6 ON of Al 6/23 note: ON of an un combined element is 0ON of oxygen generally is -2
