I usually blanket as soon as the temperature goes below -10 celciusMost TBs you will notice tend to have pretty thin skin and dont get as fluffy as most other horses, they also tend to NOT carry weight as wellThere are always exceptions of course but, this is very breed typicalSo they tend to require a blanket sooner than most Good Luck :)
TBs have very thin skin and most of them dont get good winter coats if any at all so i put a blanket or sheet on him al year long in the summer a fly sheet because their skin is so thin the bugs really bother them and in the winter and fall i put an appropriate blanket for the Temperature because of their thin skin and no winter coat they can not regulate a consistent body heat
