Clean them with a scouring pad and elbow grease afer letting them soak in warm water a while. You can prevent burning the cookie sheets by lining them with parchment paper(which you should be able to find in the baking section of your grocery store).

You should put them on a circuit that you would notice if it were to trip out. If they were on a circuit by them selves and tripped the breaker you may not notice it for sometime. The kitchen light circuit or a family room lighting circuit would be two I would suggest.or the bedroom as you suggest.
