I have been looking at BJDs and it says DIM dolls are made of Porcelain and other BJDs are resin. Is resin and Porcelain the same? what is the difference?

It could be dust build up. Some chirp when dirty Try gently using a air compressor to dust it out. A paint brush and vacuum cleaner will also do the job
If you take it apart, where you are messing with the internal components, you are asking for trouble. Smoke detectors contain radioactive americium. Just don't get nuked!
If you take the detector off and you see wires, put it back up. Next: Go to your breaker box and check to see if all of your breakers are working. If one is tripped, that is your problem. Reset it. You have a Hard-wired unit with a battery back-up. The 'chirp' is to let you know that it is no longer getting any AC power. If there are no wires then it needs to be replaced. Dust has gotten into the inner parts and any amount of cleaning you do will only last a short time.
