Question:

What is the easiest way to make resin molds?

I would like to start making resin crafts/ornaments, etc. What are the best products for a beginner to start with? I am confused as to what I should use to make my molds because I would like to be able to paint my finished products. Also, are there different kinds of Resin, if so which type do you recommend for me? Do you have to use special paints on resin? What type of Release agent is the best? Should I use a sealer on my finished painted products?

Earth-analogies aren't exact mainly because of friction with the spacetime. But in actual space there is no air resistance or drag or friction. It can potentially move through space forever. Planets and other astronomical bodies also have huge masses and therefore huge inertias, meaning it is very difficult to move them quickly as Sagan's analogy does. Orbits do tend to change some, over long periods of time though. Such as the Milankovitch Cycles and the theory that Hot Jupiter exoplanets formed farther away from their parent stars and migrated to a much more inward orbit, because in accepted models of planet formation it is not possible for a gas giant to form close to its star. Essentially, though, orbits are stable. They tend to be naturally self-correcting. I only know a little on this though and if you wanted to know more I would suggest reading a layman's introduction to celestial mechanics, of which there exists at least two or three, I think.
