The four way's a fire can be extinguishd are: -Reduction of heat -Removal of oxygen -Inhibition of chain reaction -And removal of available fuel To reduce the heat you could pour the vingar on whatever you have burning. To remove the oxygen, place whatever you have burning in a container and cork it. The fire will burn up all available oxygen and die. To inhibite the chain reaction of the fire you can light something and smother it in baking soda. To remove the fuel, I'm not sure how you could demonstrate that with what you have. Perhaps light the yarn on fire, let it progress for a moment, then cut the yarn off ahead of the fire. Hope that helps.
