What is the working principle of infrared sensors?
An infrared sensor includes an optical system, a detection element, and a conversion circuit. Depending on the structure, the optical system can be divided into two types: transmission and reflection. The detecting element can be divided into heat detecting element and photoelectric detecting element according to the working principle. Thermistors are the most widely used thermistors. When the thermistor is subjected to infrared radiation, the temperature increases, the resistance changes, and the electrical circuit is converted into an electrical signal output. The photoelectric detection element is the commonly used photosensitive element, usually made of PBS, PbSe, InAs, arsenic, antimony, germanium and three HgCdTe alloy silicon doped materials.
A sensor that measures the physical properties of infrared rays. Infrared light, also known as infrared light, has the properties of reflection, refraction, scattering, interference and absorption. Any material, as long as it has a certain temperature (higher than absolute zero), can radiate infrared radiation. The infrared sensor does not have direct contact with the object to be measured, so there is no friction, and has the advantages of high sensitivity and quick response.

Infrared sensors are widely used in non-contact temperature measurement, gas composition analysis and nondestructive flaw detection. They are widely used in medicine, military, space technology and environmental engineering. Such as the use of thermography infrared sensor remote measurement of body surface temperature, the temperature can be found in abnormal locations, timely diagnosis and treatment of diseases (see thermal imager); to monitor the earth's clouds using infrared sensors on satellites, can achieve a wide range of weather forecast; using infrared sensors can detect the aircraft running on the engine is overheating.
