Question:

What is ultraviolet light? What color is it?

What is ultraviolet light? What color is it?

Answer:

actually ultra violet covers the electromagnetic spectrum just before visible light i.e., it has higher frequency than visible light, human eye is not sensitive to this frequency range hence can't saw the color but some part of the uv comes into visible light range(violet color frequency) this is the frequency used in uv bulbs to detect things not visible in visible light, like crime scene investigation...
UV light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light, so it can`t be seen with the naked human eye. It has a higher energy than visible light and in a light spectrum it appears after the violet colour, as UV waves are shorter. It has a wavelengt between 380 and 10 nanometers. The wavelength of violet light is around 400 nanometers UV-A blacklight bulbs are white or blue, and are used to trap insects (flyes) UV-B and UV-C light bulbs have lower wavelengths and are used in laboratories and ozone bulbs.
UV light is past violet on the light spectrum. You can't see it. UV light helps plants grow, and you would get a sunburn from it.
