I watched a video about the making of vinyl records. I still don't understand what is vinyl pressing. Someone explain this please.
the records have a groove . when you play the record a pickup rides in the groove and the ridges in the groove wiggle the pickup to give the sound. to make the records they first make a metal version of the record that has a ridge instead of a groove so that when this metal disk stamps the blank vinyls it leaves the groove in the record. thats called pressing a record.
